Organized in conjunction with the exhibition Krishna Reddy: Heaven in a Wildflower, thissymposium gathers a range of scholars and practitioners to explore the life and legacy of the renowned artist. The event includes quick presentations exploring how Reddy’s international travels shaped his artistic philosophies and political convictions. Reddy’s former students and collaborators will gather in a conversion exploring the artist’s commitment and radical approach to pedagogy. Exhibition and symposium organizer Sarah Burney will lead a roundtable on historical and contemporary approaches to curating Reddy’s work in museums.
